9:00pm – Sun 10:00pm | $15

Proto new wave spaz impresario and DIY legend Gary Wilson released “You Think You Really Know Me” in 1977, a quirky album that blends lounge, melodic pop and noise punctuated by electronic experiments, saturated in whiteboy funk, like Zappa minus the sarcasm and Prince sans pretension. Alternately creepy and sweet, Mr. Wilson catalogues and narrates his romantic obsessions imagined or not from his teen years on, name-checking girlfriends and crushes. Traveling and performing with blowup dolls, mannequins and taping trash to himself live, his performances effectively double as performance art. As conceptually solid as unselfconscious, visceral as lighthearted: our cathexis, his therapy, all fun.
